When you use the Seenalt plugin, we may collect:
- Site URL and hashed site ID — used to identify your site and track usage credits.
- Image data — temporarily sent to our API for ALT text generation or optimization. Images are processed in real-time and immediately deleted. We do not store your images.
- Plugin settings — language preference, optimization format, and quality settings sent with each request.
- Usage data — number of credits used per billing period.
3. Consent
The Seenalt plugin requires explicit user consent before sending any images to our external API. This consent can be managed in the plugin settings under "Privacy & Consent". No image data is transmitted without your explicit approval.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To process your images and generate ALT text or optimized versions.
- To track usage credits and enforce plan limits.
- To provide customer support when requested.
- To improve our AI models and service quality (using anonymized, aggregated data only).
5. Third-Party Services
Seenalt uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI API — for AI vision processing to generate ALT text. Images are sent to OpenAI for analysis. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
- Freemius — for license management and payment processing. See Freemius Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
Images are processed in real-time and deleted immediately after processing. We do not store your images. Usage logs and site identification data are retained for the duration of your active subscription. Upon account deletion, all associated data is removed within 30 days.
7. Data Security
All data is transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS encryption. Our API servers are hosted on secure infrastructure with industry-standard security practices. We implement access controls and monitoring to protect your data.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
